So, Swordfish was on TBS last night, so there should be no more commercials with Halle Berry in her underware for a while yet, right? I’m not complaining, but I had to see the movie just to see if the commercial had shown the whole of the movie, or if the blatant, “look at me!” aspect of the commercial was to get us to watch. I guess that it worked, if that’s the case. Decent movie. Not what I expected. It was worth taking the time to watch. Lotsa car chases and explosions. That’s always good, right?

I watched Domino this past weekend. I liked it a lot.

Based on the true story of Domino Harvey (Keira Knightley), daughter of film actor Laurence Harvey. Tired and unsuited to the pretentiousness of her high-society LA life, Domino leaves the glittarti behind and sets off to become a bounty hunter. She quickly falls under the wing of veteran hunter Ed Mosley (Mickey Rourke) dominoand his crew and becomes an unlikely natural in the art of bounty hunting. But things really heat up when a gang of masked men begin a series of armored car heists, and before long the mob, a crazed TV producer, the FBI and a terminally ill child have all got caught up in the crazy situation. - imdb.com

This movie had action, sexiness, and just the right amount of violence to keep one’s attention from beginning to end. I recommend you watch Domino. Now, yes, there were a few spots where you just wondered whether the scene was necessary, like the one we all saw on the late show circuit where Knightley did a lap dance for a gangbanger. And, there wasn’t really much about her life before becoming a bounty hunter, but this movie had a fairly original presentation and it worked. If you like action, you’ll like Domino. And Kiera Knightley is easy on the eyes, too! Good story. Better presentation.

Everyone who has no or bad credit and needs short term cash please pay attention!

This is a piece of advice that I want to pass on to you. If you’re feeling the allure of a payday loan place, online or not, don’t give in to the temptation!

:-w

I did. Last September.

Everything that I borrowed, I still owe! I borrowed a lousy $800 and have been servicing these debts since. Every two weeks, the loan is due. The service charge on that little bit was $225. With that much out, I have had to roll the loans over every two weeks. Think about that.

What could you buy for $450/month? A really nice car? The payments on a new Washer, dryer, fridge, stove, big screen TV, and surround stereo?

DON’T DO IT!

Swallow your pride and ask family or friends for help because you’ll never catch up on these legalized loan sharks!

If you don’t ever believe or listen to another thing I say or write, pay heed to this one. Do it for you (actually, DON’T do it!;) )

Well, I succumbed to the 6 times per hour advertizing blitz to get me to watch the “Funniest Commercials of 2005″. Let me just say, that if this is what we have as the top ten, then we’re a humourless bunch this year! No sense of haha! Ha!..ha…

No, really, this wasn’t funny. I’m disappointed witht he show. Its gotta be a reason to give Kevin Neelan a cheque once a year, kinda like what we do here in Canada for politicians - give them a senatorship (5 days a year for 6 figures!). Thank gawd CSI’s on now. Maybe I can get some entertainment outta my TV after all.

To pass a lazy afternoon yesterday, Ange and I watched “You’ve got Mail” on TBS (so, the long commercial-inserted version).  That reminded me of a story I saw on BankLocator about a guy who was “seeing someone on the internet.  When he met her, she turned out to be his mom! Ya never know, do ya?

I just flicked on the TV and saw “Cocktail” playing on Mr Turner’s station.  How many people have seen it?  How many have forgotten it? Do YOU remember this movie? How many have wanted to flip liquor bottles in the air? How many tried with empty ones? Do tell!

Seems that Canada will decide on its governing party on January 23rd.  I just got back from the lunch room watching ctv newnet.  It seems that they’ve already got the story on ctv.ca
