I did a bit of a review of the Creative Muvo V100 that I just got. Check it out at MrCorey.com.

I was trying to watch American Idol tonight (its just getting over, actually).  Was anybody there? All I heard was Muzak.  Where’s the passion? I’d hate to have to waste a vote on tonight’s performance.

I was browsing the extensive list of Shoutcast stations in the playlist finder of Amarok and I found a gem of a station for anyone who likes the heavier “Classic Rock” artists, like Pink Floyd, Jimmi Hendrix, The Doors, Jethro Tull, etc.

If you like this stuff too, head on over to  181.fm and tune in to The Arrow, or find the stream on Shoutcast’s site, or get it in your player, or Streamtuner, etc.  Its the goods.  Its streaming in at a high enough bit rate that it sounds good, but not too fast to clog up our 1M connection (I try not to hog all the bandwidth from Ange).

I have been a bit remiss in watching The Show lately, but caught the latest and noticed that there is now a link in the sidebar to Ray’s complete video!

WTF, you ask, is this crap? It all started with the September 19th The Show episode, where Ze Frank was made to be “happy” by Ray’s tribute to his disgruntled daughter.

The song caught on so much that viewers began to make remixes of the song. Listen to them. They’re quite good - some better than others.

So, the suggestion came about to do a video based on Ray’s song and the “Sportsracers” began to collaborate. After a few months, a video has come about and you can find it right here on my site, thanks to BlipTV.

Video for Ray

I just finished watching the 8 slices of the William Shatner roast on YouTube. If you don’t mind a bit of bawdry and raucous humor, you have to check this show out, as its going to make you piss your pants laughing. There are no holds barred and its a great testament to this great Montreal-born icon of the screen (text, and song…)

If you can’t get the video to start, try this link (and don’t forget to watch all 8 pieces).

Not the phrase. The band. After hearing the song “Pain” on a commercial for the show “Criminal Minds“, I paid a closer attention to this band. I then realized that I had heard other songs from this band on the radio lately and I liked them. Like a lot of bands produced by Jive Records, this one has an edge. Their music is formulaic, which makes them marketable, but its edgy enough that you’ll want to listen for at least a while.

This is the band that I like the most for the moment (although I’ve got a thing for Marilyn Manson’s stuff right now too). Don’t worry, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Aguliera, SRV, and Black Sabbath are still in the mix as well.

gal_dilana2.jpgThis looks a tad on the tough side togal_magni2.jpg choose.  I’ve just seen Delana do serious justice to a rather difficult to top “Roxanne” by The Police.  I loved her version.  I’m not so keen on her song, “Super Soul”, but she carries it off well.  Lucas showed his stuff well. He still has a way about him that’s quite captivating.  I just don’t know if its a Supernova thing.  Toby was a class act as usual (I missed the beginning).  What can we expect tomorrow? Magnivideo_lukas.jpg performed a great rendition of a classic Deep Purple tune, but gal_toby2.jpghis original, at least in English, is very “top 40″.  I don’t know, man.  I think that its going to be Toby, if everyone goes with talent and the ability to mesh with the band.

It was interesting how well everyone sang together with Delana, don’t you think?

thanks to Rockstar - Supernova for the pics.  I promise to not try and make money off this post.
