Okay, if you’re not a sound engineer, you’ll still like this podcast.  My friend, Jordan, has decided that he had to fill up what little free time he had with a new podcast.  He’s still sorting things out, but his first effort has been posted.  Its about sound.  I found it interesting and I think that you will as well.  I am sure that he’ll shake it up as he gets into a style, but for now, he’s set up with a few “bullet points” followed by a main discussion.  In this first podcast, he discussed current state of the industry’s stance on dynamic range (or the lack thereof) and put forth a few opinions about where it should be.  Go on over and check it out.  Beware, the site’s still under heavy construction, so there’s not a lot of navigation in place yet, but you can get the podcast quite easily.

Head on over to http://www.podcast.robotcousin.com, and check out Robot Cousin’s Audio Feeds.

Although I am far from rich, I just donated $10.00USD to BellyUp4Blues, as they are low on funds (I had $13.xx CDN in my Paypal balance).  This station is run by volunteers and funded by listeners.  Its got some of the best blues playing on any Shoutcast feed.  If you like blues, consider donating to this site, as they produce quality stuff on a volunteer staff.

And, hey, what a birthday present! In 3 days, the station will be 5 years old!

…for NOT drinking the purple juice with the others! For a minute, I thought that even Simon Cowell was going to say nice things about David Archeletta’s performance tonight. I’m so glad that he chose to reveal the truth. Wow! What a boring song to choose. What an even more boring rendition.

And, what’s wrong with Carly Smithson??? C’mon, girl! You have a great look and a better sound! Why aren’t you opening those pipes up just a tad more? Show us why you should be the next American Idol!!!

But, watch out, sister! David Cook is putting up the stiff on the competition front! Ole MJ, the original pervo, didn’t sing his own song that well! Phenomonal arrangement.

I’m not sure if RT Cunningham cause this or not, but I’ve been a bit more keen to music videos on YouTube.  I have rediscovered a few gems from “America’s Got Talent” winner Bianca Ryan.  Damn, that girl’s got pipes!

Damn! She’s 11 years old! What’s she goung to be capable of at 20?

I did a bit of a review of the Creative Muvo V100 that I just got. Check it out at MrCorey.com.

I was trying to watch American Idol tonight (its just getting over, actually).  Was anybody there? All I heard was Muzak.  Where’s the passion? I’d hate to have to waste a vote on tonight’s performance.

I was browsing the extensive list of Shoutcast stations in the playlist finder of Amarok and I found a gem of a station for anyone who likes the heavier “Classic Rock” artists, like Pink Floyd, Jimmi Hendrix, The Doors, Jethro Tull, etc.

If you like this stuff too, head on over to  181.fm and tune in to The Arrow, or find the stream on Shoutcast’s site, or get it in your player, or Streamtuner, etc.  Its the goods.  Its streaming in at a high enough bit rate that it sounds good, but not too fast to clog up our 1M connection (I try not to hog all the bandwidth from Ange).
