…but this site was unavailable for most of the day. I have yet to find out from my host what their problem was, but I will find out.

I found out what it was. More on that later. I’ve taken this opportunity  to review the security of my WordPress installation and have taken some measures last night that should close the biggest possible holes. One of them was to rename the tables on the database from  a copy that I saved earlier, so I lost a few comments on this post. Thank you for them, folks. I appreciate it, really. I hadn’t realized how big the database had grown. I’m going to have to cull through it and see if there are some things i can remove.

welcome back old son. I tried to mail you to let you know, but your host bounced the mail back as you didn’t exist. Let me know if you need a copy.

@ray – Thanks. It was a confusion over a spammer. They seem to be getting a few more problems than before with them, so I may have to cut my losses and look for other hosting.

I lost your comments, hari, and MacBros. I’ll see about fishing them out of the most current database copy and merge them into this one. It was late and I really just wanted to get the renaming done. It took about 10 minutes for Gedit to do the find and replace on my old Athlon 2500+. I can’t believe that the database was 121mb uncompressed.
