Why haven’t we heard more about google.org? Have you heard about it? I would think that with the negative “Big Brother” reputation that a big company like Google gets, merely for being big, it would be a breath of fresh air to see some of the good that can come out of them.
Huh, they kept that very quiet. Some good ideas on there.
I found it by mistake. I think that I typed the URL in directly. I am pretty sure that I didn’t search for it.
Google has some surprising projects up their sleeve. But when it comes to philanthropy I prefer to remain sceptical. No big corporation ever gets into the business (I said it) of charity with no expectations.
I agree most corporations have motives that are at least partially self serving when in comes to charity work. But at the end of the day, if the charities are better off, then it’s all good.
I have to agree with you both. They have motive, but I think that its more of a motive of sustaining the business when cheap energy becomes scarce.
