Tagged and Bagged: Site, website, Wordpress
I have not changed the look of this website for quite some time. I worked fairly diligently on the current theme, adapting from the most excellent Evanescence theme, using as a palate, a pile of maple leaves that Abby and I collected while walking back from Caleb’s school, which was before she was of school age.
There have been some exciting changes in the WordPress engine since, incorporating gallery functionality and threaded comments. These things aren’t worked into my current theme and I’d like to update it a bit.
Should I keep the same look? Or, should I go with something totally different?
Umm. The changes must have been subtle, because I don’t see them . LOL
@MacBros – I’m talking about the changes since I made this theme, when WP was at version 2.0 or such.
This look is fine. I personally changed my own theme to have a similar look though I don’t use wordpress. Almost entirely, my website was re-coded by me to what it is today. Some time back, the blog was a mess and was a subdomain of literaryforums.org. Now Harishankar.org is a full-fledged personal website.
It takes time to redesign a site completely. If I were you, I’d only make small CSS changes (if needed) and leave alone the main structure as it is. There’s not a whole lot of innovation possible with a blog format anyway).
OIC? LOL
Do whatever man.
