So, there’s a big uproar going on here in Canada about a video posted to YouTube of a 7 year old boy driving the family car. You can see a story about it on the CBC website, our national television and radio network’s site.

From what I understand, this is just a country drive. The parents will likely be charged for allowing their child drive the car and there might be charges for driving without seatbelts.

I learned to drive a 4 wheeled vehicle when I was six. My dad taught me to drive the tractor so that I could help with the harvesting of hay, etc. It was what we all did, as small family farms couldn’t hire people to do the work, as they didn’t produce an income sufficient to pay outside work.

Was there anything wrong with showing this kid how to drive the car? I don’t think so. Was there something wrong with putting the video on YouTube for the world to see? Yes! If Sonia Belle is still doing her Assclown award, this guy who filmed this video should get it. Dude, you’re a doofus!!!

I couldn’t agree with you more Corey.

Sure. No harm in a little 5Kph drive down some deserted road in the middle of the country, but to let him go 40 – 70Kph!!

What the hell were the parents thinking??

Especially with two other young kids in the back seat!

Whack jobs! People are turning into nothing but whack jobs these days.

    (yes, they walk amongst us.)

Is that the same video I saw? Were the cops chasing him and did he get out and run? Funny stuff.
