I'll look into that, Drew. Perhaps I can just rewrite the plugin a bit by commenting out that code, if I recognize it. BTW, if I turn off all plugins, the pages load almost instantly. Now, my experience is both at home on out 1.5MB DSL connection, through a Speedstream 6520 gateway (ethernet - wireless is turned off), and also at work, using our homebrewed version of IE6 on the company LAN.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('3817','mrcorey','I\'ll look into that, Drew.
Just to also mention, I manually timed your site to load after it had already loaded and it took around 8 seconds on my connection at home. Another Wordpress site I tested was Ray's and it took around 2 seconds. So not terrible being 8 seconds but something definitely is causing a slight delay.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('3815','drew','Just to also mention, I manually timed your site to load after it had already loaded and it took around 8 seconds on my connection at home.
One thing that usually helps or can help is to disable any DNS lookups within your blog, plugins, other applications. Reverse DNS lookups can slow responses down when incorporated into sites and servers.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('3814','drew','One thing that usually helps or can help is to disable any DNS lookups within your blog, plugins, other applications.
