Wow. Not a toll free number. Just today’s date. Thanks to Jaden of the Steamy Kitchen for pointing out the pattern in her post two weeks ago when she mentioned that today is her birthday.
Yeah, I hadn’t picked that up at all! Of course it would be more siginificat it was August 8th, in the year 08 so one could argue that we are really 2000 years late. Is not cutting off the leading and implied “20″ really a cheat on our part? Stay tuned for news updates on the hour!

Actually I just realized this number is why the Chinese scheduled thier olympics for this date because numerology is important in their society and 8 signifies prosperity. (Or so the msnbc announcer said so and you know everything they say on TV is true.
) Also according to the same announcer, Bejing received 16,000 marriage licenses for 08-08-08. Interesting… Did you see the opening olympic ceremonies, Corey? They were over the top with extreme choregraphed fireworks (Fredericton take notice) complete with a man on strings running in slow motion across the whole rim of the dome! It was insane!

@devin - I don’t know what happened. I updated the plugin and was disabling a few to see what was slowing down the site the most and it seems to have been one of the ones I disabled. Its back.
