Why the Karma? What did we do? I got to work today and went to the kitchen to wash out my water bottle and pour a coffee.  There wasn’t any dish soap left, so I thought that I’d try the hand soap in the washroom.  That was a bad idea, as the scent from the soap remained in the bottle, despite a thorough rinse.  I couldn’t drink the water.  I went for a coffee and there was none left, so I chose to have a hot chocolate…

…which I prompty knocked off the counter onto my thighs and all over the floor.  The jeans have dried mostly, but now I have coacoa stained over the front of my jeans and I have no way to get a change of clothes from my place across the river.  At least I smell yummy.

I brought a potato salad for lunch, as we were going to have a pot luck dinner (our team), but I forgot it was for tomorrow, so I had to buy lunch without much money, a I left my wallet home.  And, to add to the mix, the canteen’s refrigerator decided to reverse its role over the weekend and it heated up inside, cooking its contents.  So, they are limited in what they can server to what wasn’t refrigerated.

Eeyore said it best, I guess. “Oh, bother!”

OH! So you got it! I was wondering who eventually received my string of bad luck after I got this new string of good luck.

I should mention to you that it comes in threes.

Oh man sorry to hear about all these mishaps Corey! And to think you didn’t have to stay up late and slave cooking your wonderful and yummy bacon & egg potato salad! Couldn’t you have had a little of your own potato salad in advance? You made enough that if you had one bowl for yourself there would have been plenty left over! Me and Al Pieters today were just marvelling over your culinary abilities. I told Al I can’t cook for beans and I need to develop a better skillset in this area and I used you as a role model!

    Awwww…^^^^ that’s sweet!

I remember having a bad day like that once, which ended with me nearly running out of gas on the way home from work and having to ask for 36 cents worth of gas, because I had left my wallet at home that morning, and that’s all I could find between the seats of my car.

    Hope tomorrow gets better!

Well, all went well after I ranted about it all, except for having to wear my brown, cocoa-stained jeans all day. I finished at work and leisurely moseyed my way to the bus stop. I got on the bus and listened to one of my favorite podcasts while trying to avert my eyes (to avoid going blind) from an attractive woman who was barely dressed in all the right places. The bus driver let me off at the corner, instead of going another 400 metres to the stop, which saved me from tracking back the way I came from. And, the coacoa came out of my jeans! I write this comment as I enjoy our pot luck meal. :)
