The problem with themes, IMO and it doesn't count for here or for Hari's site, is that designers often like to go nuts with the colours and layouts. A nice simple theme, with a main area, a sidebar and a header & footer is perfect for my needs. I also like the fact that it's minimally coloured - it looks nice, the areas are separate but your not constantly seeing the layout - if that makes sense. That's why I try to change my website theme periodically. I think looking at the same colour combinations over a period of time has a strange effect on the mind which reduces our creativity.
