…is cool. Devin’s mom mentioned the lunar eclipse, so we both went outside to see it. I tried to capture it on camera, but my digital is limited in its capabilities. I didn’t get a good picture. We’ll see if the film camera did the job when I develop the film.
I was going to bring my Digital Camera with me to work to take a few pictures. I forgot it. DOUGH!
Another 2 years before the next one too.
This was special because you could see the planet Saturn and the bright star Regulus on either side of the veiled full moon.
They say that you could see the rings of Saturn through you’re personal Telescope if ya’ had one.
There’s been a lot of celestial events over the past year, but we’ve been cloaked in overcast clouds every time. It was nice to finally catch the show this time.
Well Corey it looks like we missed out on the best part! And to think you were heading off to bed when my mom popped on the chatserver!
Did she stay on for a bit? I was getting tired. I hope that my film camera got a good picture. Hell, it was late when we looked.
A full lunar eclipse? Did it look good?
A friend of mine caught me online the other night (we work together in our day jobs) and he said, ‘Rich, quick, there’s a visible satellite passing over at 8pm’.
I thought hmm, should I go out in the sub-zero temperatures or stay in here nice and warm? I opted to stay warm.
The next day I asked him how the satellite looked. He looked sheepish and muttered something under his breath - you know I had to badger him about this, thinking he couldn’t see it. Finally he came out with, ‘My f***ing uncle, said 8pm and I went out at 7:45pm and waited 30 minutes to see that f***ing satellite. He called at 9pm to say sorry, but it was at 7pm, not 8pm’
LOL so, I’ll stick to seeing these signs from above on video clips
LOL @ Rich!
Ours here was quite lame, we had some clouds go right in front of it about 3/4 into it, so we thought the moon disappeared, then it came back, then went away, then came back. Eventually me and my dad decided to give up and stop freezing our butts off.
We saw it here in Pasadena,
Very interesting, I’m 58 years old and have never seen one before.
I’m really glad I got to see at least one in this lifetime!
Todd
I would have watched it for a bit longer but it was -19°C and I was not up to that kind of freeze. I still wish that I’d have had a good camera for might photos. Ahh well.
