I was reviewing a few of the spam comments that Akismet caught but insisted that I read before discarding. Here are three:

I hate spammers. But then again, my blog forces you to preview then submit. So that blocks just about everything. And then again, if they do happen to be smarter than the average bot or spammer, mine are moderated and approved by me before being seen.

LOL. I used to go through all them too and read just how silly they can be at times. I don’t anymore, I’m to busy to waste my time with spammers.
With SSF enabled, most gets filtered out before it even gets to Akismet, so I only get a few per day.
I get spam comments once a while- I enable comment moderation and it stops, I disable comment moderation and it starts again after sometime…
I know what you mean! I wish that my human/spam ratio of visits was reversed.
