Today is Remembrance Day in Canada. As a sign of respect, I am going to take two minutes of silence at 11:00am, which should be about 3 minutes from the time that this post appears. For all who live in a country that respects their Veterans and War Dead on Nov 11, please join me.
We observed it here in the UK too. Despite the usual furore around the poppy colours, the day needs to be observed.
Colour, scmolour! Red is the most common poppy colour. Politically, I prefer the red reminder.
