You read it right. This morning, I looked out the window and the ground has a coating of snow. I suppose that John had to walk home in it if he was working last night.  Its not much, so I’m sure that it’ll be gone soon after it gets light out.  I guess this is the usual for this time of year.  Its either cold and rainy, cold and colder, or it snows.  I’m surprised that we don’t do Halloween a bit earlier in the year.

We had our first frost this morning. 14 years ago today, I woke up (hungover as heck) to a winter wonderland. It had melted off by noon, but it was all kinds of cold for our wedding that day. :-)

I was up early in the morning, and noticed that my wmWeather WindowMaker
applet had the little pretty white snow falling sequence looping. Thinking
that this could not be true, I got up and went outside and noticed that, yes,
in fact, there was a thin layer of white powder blanketing the outside streets!
Funny to think that event would have gone unnoticed if it hadn’t been for my
weather applet. In the real world, I looked up and saw a very cold spider that
hasn’t moved for days. Is it dead, or just hibernatiing in the open?

Perhaps you should bring it inside and warm it up! Then you’ll know…

No I would just knock it to the ground and inspect it outdoors. Ewww… I hate spiders! And why do they eat tarantulas in Cambodia? I don’t care if they
taste like crab meat! EWWW! :???:

I have to agree with you, my friend. I’m not so partial to the creepy crawlies, either.
