I’ve effectively moved from DSTInternet to my new host, Friendlier.com. The move was reasonably painless for me. I ma interested to see if it was painless for you. Feel free to comment. I will certainly be “watching” my hosting from now on and I’ll be interested in seeing how it actually goes. I still have that good feeling that I mentioned on the old hosting (which may not have been restored here - I warned you!).
Forgive me for the hesitation, but I’d love to review my host, but, after the last two experiences with paid hosting after reasonably trouble-free free hosting, forgive me for being hesitant.
Let this be a notice (as in a Colbert notice! Wag of the finger and everything!) that I will be auditing my experience with you and your future could lay in my hands, as I rank well in Google for any term that I feel like, cos I write for real, not for money.
Let’s hope that your experience is more “friendlier” than your last one.

I’ll be providing feedback on an ongoing basis, I believe. If this host is going to be as good as I hope, then they will be getting plenty of good press from me (who Google, yahoo!, MSN, Ask Jeeves, and others just love to crawl all over). I am also just so happy to be rid of Plesk and to be getting back to cPanel (and SSH!!!!!).
How is friendlier.com working out for you? I was searching for a possible offsite location host to mostly serve as a backup storage server but most hosts don’t allow or enable ssh access, something I would use to rsync files over. And the 100GB of space is more than enough for the time being with their basic plan. I have my own servers that I back up to a server I have on my home connection but need personal data from home machines to another offsite location as my servers couldn’t handle the amount of data I have and it’s just not good to keep these on a stand alone disk drive next to the computer it’s backing up from.
So far, Drew, I have to say that the service has bee first rate. I’ve had the account since 10/28 this year, so we’re talking about 11 days up so far. I am impressed with the speed and the service. The chat with support is a great bonus. It doesn’t matter whether you want to chat with billing, service, or sales, they respond within just a few seconds to your initiating of the chat. I haven’t phoned them, so I don’t know how that would go, but I’ve asked some pretty detailed and specific questions and they’ve been helpful and seemingly knowledgable about what they’re doing. The site seems to have been up 100% so far as well. Its all good. As a matter of fact, I’ve started a blog post to review their services so far and I am not usually so quick to commit to an assessment. Look for that perhaps this evening (or for you, tomorrow morning
