Wild HogsFour Guys.  2000 Miles.  How wild can it get?

Angela and I caught Wild Hogs this weekend. It was an entertaining watch. I’m finding that anything that Tim Allen stars in will be either be hilarious or “light weight” as far as content. This movie falls under the latter category.  We enjoyed it all the way through and Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence, and William Macy did a good job of keeping us entertained (William Macy the most).

This movie’s plot basically follows a simple time line.   Travolta’s character has a life changing event and he has to reclaim his identity.  He convinces his buddies to go on a road trip with him on their bikes.  Since they are pretty stressed anyhow, they come with him.

This is the story of what happens as a result of their following of theoir friend.  They all learn a bit about themselves and they also gain a bit of insight into what’s over the horizon for them.

I thought this was pretty good too. I’ll also be doing a review when I get through the other 30 or so reviews on my review site. (say that ten times fast)

Good movie, I got a kick out of the leather helmet guy.

He was the best! William Macy is a pretty good actor, though. he can pull a character like that off without a hitch, “I’m alright! I just hurt my face.”

    It was good?

I caught the start of it a while back but never watched it. If you say it’s good, I think I might just try and see it!

Well, you won’t split your sides on this one, but its definitely going to entertain. Its not as funny as “Throw Mama from the Train”, or “The Mask” or “Be Cool”, or “Beauty Shop”, but its funnier than “RV”, “The Santa Clause”, or nearly anything from the “National Lampoon’s” franchise.

My mom and I watched it last Friday night and both of us found it entertaining. I agreed with your assessment of the movie. I normally don’t like slapstick-type movies, so I usually skip anything with Tim Allen in it, but I was pleasantly surprised by this comedy. It had a similar plot line as “City Slickers” (a group of guys who are all going through mid-life crises, decide to take a trip together to recapture some of their youth), but not quite as good as it.

I also want to add that there wasn’t any content in it that would have you embarrassed watching it with your mom or your kids :D
