Tagged and Bagged: kids
I don’t know why, but, although I’ll be completely broke and home bound, I am looking forward to not working for the week next week. I had hoped for other things to happen, but I am merely looking forward to being paid to not work. I’ll have to get outside with the kids and perhaps finally unroll that kite. Perhaps. Is it Friday yet?
I won’t be home bound, but I’ll be close to broke while I’m gone next week, and flat broke when I get back.
But, like you, I will be quite happy to have next week off, and get paid for it.
How many weeks off do you have, Corey? They better give you at least 2 weeks vacation! I just finished watch Michael Moores Sicko and I loved it so much I watched it a second time!! In France, they get a minimum of 5 weeks off! Yeah, France! And oh, they have basically free child care too as well! That is one family-friendly country!
I get one week this time. We asked for our first week first and then after, ask for the second. I haven’t chosen to take a second week off. I would go bonkers with two weeks off and nothing planned. I can save the vacation time for when I want to take a day off at other times.
That works out well, though I would go bonkers with only 1 week off!
But that second week well be welcomed when it comes, even if it spread out over a larger time period!
It can be done. For years, my dad took vacation time to do the haying, etc, at home. Of course, without the added bonus of having a large garden and beef in the field, I don’t know if we’d have had it so good.
Hey Corey, thanks for telling me about your blog… have a great vacation and hopefully we’ll get some nice weather for Canada Day stuff + fireworks!
I just finished two and a half weeks of “vacation” except that the Honey-do list was huyge, got about half of it done and finished a few other tasks that popped up. Even got a floor on the playfort frame we bolted to the trees that were behind where the shed use to be. You should stop by next time you are out to Ang’s parents place Corey, I am sure Ang would love to see what we have done with the place.
