That’s a popular Newfie phrase, which I’ve always liked.
Sorry for the outage. I’m not sure what had casued my site to be offline, but its back. That’s a good thing.
For future reference, I do have another blog at http://mrcorey.com in which I’d be posting on if this site was down again. I doubt that this will be a regular thing. Bondings and the staff at Frihost are usually right on the ball. They’re very professional for a free web host and I recommend them.
Thanks for your patience during the outage.
I never noticed it was gone! And I was here twice earlier.
And the door suddenly opened slowly.
I’ve been trying to get all my blogging done and get my new site ready, I didn’t notice either.
Have you received your T4’s from hell hole yet?
That’s interesting! I bet that I was having problems with DNS, then. Perhaps OpenDNS is not working as well as it could. I’m afraid to begin using the ones from Rogers again, though, as they wouldn’t even let me load complete pages!
DNS seems to have problems no matter where. I installed Treewalk on my laptop because of the DNS slowness of Subictel.
I had considered doing the same thing for those reasons. I’ll stick with OpenDNS for a while yet and see where they’re going. I did notice that they seem to be doing the Verisign thing and directing mistyped URLs to their search engine, though. Hmmm.
Another reason not to go to Rogers DNS is that your Bandwidth isn’t tracked. At least mine isn’t according to their website.
That tool hasn’t worked for months. The unofficial word is that only the big offenders are getting letters. They’ll start charging when they finally unroll the $99/mo Elite service at 18Mbits/sec.
By the way, what does the “mr” stand for in “mrcorey”?
Mister - really stemmed from when I signed up for a Gmail account. Corey was unavailable, so I took MrCorey. Here I am.
