The Final version of Wordpress 2.1 is now out. Go to the Wordpress development blog to read about it, and possibly download. Darn! I had just upgraded my sandbox server to the RC2. This blog is still running 2.1 beta. Of course, if you’re looking to upgrade to the latest and greatest, this might be the way to go. Keep in mind that not all of your plugins will necessarily work on 2.1, as the authors may still be using old calls or API. So, I’ll be upgrading to the final myself soon, after I test it on my computer first.
Remember that if you’re planning on upgrading your blog from a version before 2.1 (IE 2.0.x or before), then there’s no going back, as it changes a few database tables. So, back up your database before foraging ahead. This is a feature release, not a bugfix release. There are many changes behind the scenes, which some will like and others will not. If you have any questions, go to the Installation page or ask on the forums. Or, you could ask me about some stuff. I’ve been using 2.1 since Alpha 3.
Yep, I upgraded and sure enough the link categories and links broke. I’m pretty sure the theme has to be updated, but I can’t find an email address for the author of the Tiga theme. I don’t want to go back to the previous version of Wordpress — I do have a backup, backed it up before I started the upgrade.

You didn’t make one, my friend. I don’t delete comments, unless they’re from spammers. I change them to ridicule the author if I don’t like them. You know that. Your comments have a ways to go before they reach the caliber of spam.
I commented on my successful update and that only one plug-in barfed at the upgrade (Favico) on the Blogroll.
I hope that you backed up your database first, in case you wanna go back (but the new annoying admin panel is addictive…as I know from the last few months…)
