Halloween is nearly here, and with its passing, I will replace the current holiday theme with something a bit more me. It is going to appear to be seasonal, but that’s probably what I’ll be relying on as my standard. Its based on a fine theme that’s already been published and I know that I was going to write one from the ground up. I will still likely do that unless I can continue to bend this one to my will. I like the layout a lot and, when it arrives, I hope that you do, too. The colors that I’ve used came from the picture that I posted in an earlier post.

With this theme, I will likely drop the number of full posts per page to 5 or 6 instead of 10. What do you think? Once I figure out how to make them work, I may add asides in the sidebar. We’ll see.

You’re not supposed to talk about a new theme that’s coming. You just surprise your viewers when you finally do.

    Sheesh, don’t you know anything?

My blog. I can talk about what I want to! :P Plus, its known that there’s change afoot. FWIW, I was testing it on this server a while ago for about 3 minutes. Perhaps someone already knows what it looks like…

…by the way, anyone who uses MySQL 5.x will notice that the AJAX comments plugin is not compatible, nor is Brians Latest Comments.

edit: trying to fix this wierdo comment to ensure its not breaking the whole thing - bug report time - maybe I should just install WP 2.1alpha…

I’m using it, and it works for me. Except right now I have it turned off because I have layers in the current template that interfere with the plug.

Its gotta be the way that it interacts with WP 2.1, then.
