Here’s a great reason why Bittorrent should be embraced by the world’s ISPs.  I just leached a nice file that shows that you can trade a large file and not have the RIAA, MPAA, or other bad business model, known as “old boys network” (yep, the supporters of the stupid DMCA) on your back because its not theirs!

What file, you say? This would be a new movie that not only can be shared, but downloaded from a few download mirrors as well.  At the moment, I see 9776 seeders and 62277 leachers on the torrent alone.  I’ve never seen such interest in a file.

Aside from that, this is not the reason that this file is important.  Go to THIS SITE and see for yourself.  What you’re going to find is a new movie:

Elephants Dream is the world’s first open movie, made entirely with open source graphics software such as Blender, and with all production files freely available to use however you please, under a Creative Commons license.
Yes, this is the first movie made with purely open software and licenced under an open licence.  You can download it for free and share it.  You can use it to make your own movie.  You can use it as you wish, as long as you attribute credit for work.  I haven’t watched it yet, but I think that this is significant, as it shows what quality work can be done with free and open tools.  Way to go!

That’s not a Movie. It’s a short. it’s just 10 minutes long. I was watching it wondering WTF was was going on.

But I will admit, it was well done in a graphic sence.

PS: Hate this new TQUizzel Theme BTW

So, refresh your page. You visited in the 45 seconds that the theme was active.
