So, somebody turned out the lights. Dunno who, but Louis turned them back on by recompiling PHP on the server. As a bonus of this little vacation, my host now has PHP5 to play with as well.
In english, Im back!

If they didn’t have PHP5 before, what version WERE they running?
They’re a little slow on the updates arent they?
I’ve been using it for over a year at least.
4.3, I think. As with most businesses, they decided to wait until PHP5 was confirmed stable. They’re probably just now running with WP 2.02.
PHP5 was stable a lonnnng time ago. That’s one of the things I look for when selecting a hosting company.
Don’t know where you got that from as php5 closed a lot of security holes.
Ok. You’re wrong, sort of. I’m wrong. They waited to upgrade, as many scripts don’t work any more with php5 (probably because its a bit more strict, like xhtml is as compared to html4). If you follow the changelogs, I think that you’ll find that both have been maintained and both have had bugfixes. Some of the functions are different and the underlying structure has changed, but both have had security holes plugged.
A lot of users would complain because a lot of stuff is depricated and incompatable? DUH! LOL!
Its the same thing with anything. Many people still code in html, even though xhtml has been around for a long while.
That’s their problem. If sombody doesn’t want to upgrade from Widowz 3.1 then don’t expect the support. Duh.
Corey is that dog lavender or are my color settings messed up? LOL
Diane, my dear. I could play with that one for a while, but that just wouldn’t be nice, and tonight is “be nice night” (remember that its almost midnight here, so I can be nasty soon). LOL. The dog is lavender. You’re seeing what you’re supposed to…what I WANT you to…mwahahahahaha!!!!
