I’ve been playing today with the Hemmed theme for Wordpress. This site is running it right now. The colors are default. The arrangement is yet another hack of what has already been done. This is getting to be what I’m looking for. More hacks to come. coreythompson.comI’ve been playing with a color scheme. I’m not finished yet, but a sneak peek can be had at my old webhost. I left the site there for testing purposes. If you want to see what I’ve been up to, go to coreythompson.com to see what I’ve been doing in my coloring book. And, Skye, I don’t have any gay friends who live close enough anymore to help me, so I’ll have to go this one alone.

Shame about the gay friends, but it’s not a perfect world, I guess :)
I left comments over on the other site.

I’m responding to the comments you left over there, Skye. Thaks for the input. You’re about right on your assumptions. I didn’t get to the blue links in the comment form yet, nor did I address the black font, either (that one might require hacking intot he “recent comments” plugin, as I think the color was set inside the plugin, if I remember correctly.

You’re correct about the size of the comment fonts being smaller, and I’ll be keeping that ration, but I think that all the fonts need to scale up by about 2 pt (like maybe 12pt for posts and 10 or 11pt for comments).

I didn’t think about the lines. It does look a bit too busy with them, at least as bright as they are. Its all a work in progress. Not too shabby for an evening’s work, so far, wha?

(I thought that you’d like the colors, considering the ones you chose for your blog)

I liker the red color changes.
The previous pos/next post links arent there though, on the index page that is.
YOu should include the latest comment app to the side bare of the comment template too.

    So far, it’s lookin’ good.

Thanks. I got inspired a bit with the color. The clean look of the blue was growing on me, but it was a bit to “cold”. These edits were pretty easy, but the site is based on images, so you still have to fire up an image editor. I haven’t tackled the comments yet. Thanks for the tip on the plugin on the comments page. The next a previous have been a challenge with this design. I’m still working on that (they don’t switch pages) but i may be solving that issue another way (I like the bottombar, but…)
