Tagged and Bagged: Gentoo, Linux
You’ll notice no “April Fools!” entry for me. I think that Macbros did a great one for all that know him. Kudos!The title of this post? If you use Gentoo Linux, you know that represents a lot of time! Emerge is the package manager for Gentoo. You use the command “emerge” followed by the nake of the program you want to install, and it does it. Its kinda like a candy store thing. So, my reason for such a huge installation is a compiler, glibc, and USE flag upgrade.
The Gentoo command is:
emerge -e system && emerge -e world
which causes your entire system to be recompiled with the new specs. Once done, its ROCK SOLID! Take that Debian!
