…I’ve been playing with styles and themes. What do ya think? If you like it, I’d love to know. If you don’t, I’d love to know why. If there’s something specific, I’d really love to know that!

How Its Done Here
Hey there. Welcome and thanks for stopping by. Check it and comment if you like. I have spam controls but no first comment moderation, so your comment should show up right away. If you have a thought that you'd rather not share publicly, email me. The link's at the top and bottom. Use this method to gripe about how my site works as well, to keep comments on topic. etc. -

I like it. It’s better tan the previous one at least.
Thanks. I’m still playing with fonts sizes and colors a bit, but I think this is where I want to go with things. I’m hacking up someone else’s work, so I’m playing with a bit of code funkiness that I’m trying to determine the logic for, but, anyhow… ( and this comment form needs help! Must make pretty rounded corners!).
;(

Overall, I like it, though it’s a shame you can’t really see the watermarked backgroun until you scroll all the way to the bottom. The only other thing I’d say is that some people with color blindness might have a hard time reading the dark font on the dark blue side bars.
If I can get things worked out, I might do the blastphemous and work with transparent images for the background on the body and sidebars (that was the whole trick with the rounded corners - not images - made with javascript). But, one never knows. I’m thinking about moving the site back to xmgfree, even though the server over there is a bit erratic. At least the pages are served correctly. I’ve been backing up twice a week just in case…
Sky’s right on the text color on the sidebars, you should lighten them up a bit. Also, the rounded corners can be done with css coding, why you would use javascript is beyond me.
The rounded corners only show on the index page, not in the comment page.
Edit last comment. Actually I can see where using java to round corners might help. But that would be on something that changes width a lot.
Does that script round image too?
Actually, it is a combination of CSS and javascript to make less markup (less code to load). Its quite a neat idea and even I almost understand it. Here’s where the idea comes from: http://pro.html.it/esempio/nifty/
