Yep, and Debian-based distributions suck, as they're only useful when a mix of sources are used, which only works for a while, until there's a version mismatch. Then you're back in dependancy hell all over again! I can see why Slackware has so many zealous followers!
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('418','Corey','Yep, and Debian-based distributions suck, as they\'re only useful when a mix of sources are used, which only works for a while, until there\'s a version mismatch.
Booted back in today and everything's great, except that Debian uses an older version of programs, in the name of rock solid stability (of which I've never seen). Without changing my sources to "Sid" just to keep updated on Clamav (yes, I'll care about the virii I have in my emails passed on from others), I'll add the "debian-volatile" sources for that program only. :d
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('416','Corey','Booted back in today and everything\'s great, except that Debian uses an older version of programs, in the name of rock solid stability (of which I\'ve never seen).
