I have a domain name now (perhaps I’ll get creative and buy more). I’ll be slowly transitioning over any domain-specific links to relative ones, so I can move hosts if ever necessary. The title of this post says it all. http://coreythompson.com . You can use the “www” if you have to. At the moment, that gets you to the front page of this site. http://blog.coreythompson.com brings you here, just like http://www.coreythompson.com/corey, http://coreythompson.com, and http://blog.coreythompson.com do. This was the “future development” as to which I was referring. I tried to get my name, as the fellow who had it stopped paying for it, but his registrar took it to sell privately (read as “at a high price”). Ah well! ITS COREY! –dot com :)

some images and links will be a bit screwey for a few days while I rewrite the other pages…this would be my apology for that ;)

Yes, I do. Why, would you like me to deceptively “cloak” it? I will, you know!

No problem man. Just sit back with a nice cold K and code away.
I would code today, but I’m playin’ GTA: San Andreas.

Sure can (but if you wait a week, it’d produce better results). I’m just figuring out which is the best way to make this transition work. http://coreythompson.com works well for now. I think that I’ll probably go back to using my registrar’s DNS and cloak the URL and modify links to reflect page changes. Advice? You can email me with it, if its long.

There. I think that I’ve messed with the site enought. Subdomain redirects don’t seem to work as I’d like yet, but perhaps I’m not doing it the way my host likes yet. Anyhow, http://coreythompson.com/ should bring you to my blog.

So you want it to respond as http://www.coreythompson.com/ and http://coreythompson.com/ just like it does with http://coreythompson.com/ ?
    :-?

Not yet. I’m not sure what I’m gonna do with the domain yet. Keeping the blog as a subdirectory suits me fine for now.
