Here’s a pic from today as displayed on the St John Riverwatch website:
Fredericton April 29
I’ve sized the picture down, but its the same pic, right down to the file name. This was taken for that site. Go there and see what others they have. By the way, to put this in perspective, this is the new skywalk that is about 15-20 feet above the walking trail, which is normally about 10-15 feet above the river level (there are big rocks all along the riverbank that you can carefully climb down on - meant to keep the banks from eroding)

Man! The water is getting high around the St John river. I took a spin down to the Oromocto mall. Often, I’ll scoot behind the mall to the park and skip rocks behond the water treatment plant. Well, the road is closed now, as its under water. The bank of the Oromocto river is non-existant, as the water is so high, its 1/2 way across the lawn on the park. Just think, last week I was skipping rocks with Caleb and Abby down there. People were flying kites on that lawn. They couldn’t today.Pretty soon, the water plant employees will have to canoe to work if the water continues to rise. I should check on our friends/relatives, Charlotte and Richard….(they live in Maugerville - route 105, which was closed today - and they may be floating around right about now…)
