So I saw “Million Dollar Baby” and “Immortel” tonight. Both were good movies. MDB was about a female boxer who had a rise to fame anda shot at a title match. I won’t get into the plot too much because the IMDB does a great job of that. There are some big names there. Hilary Swank plays the boxer and Clint Eastwood plays her “manager”. Morgan Freeman also has a big role in the film, as he narrates a lot of it. He’s also Eastwood’s foil int his movie. I recommend it to anyone, whether you’re a boxing fan or not. This story isn’t really about boxing. Its more about how people who don’t fit in find a place in the world after all.

Immortel (ad vitam) was a totally different movie. It had a strange and futuristic story, which was woven with a CGI twist. There are a lot of “no fun” types who criticized the CGI effects in the movie as being “terrible”. They can shove their opinions up their own asses. This film was entertaining from beginning to end. It was a bit far fetched and it many of the characters weren’t human. Big deal! It began as a copy of a comic book and, in my opinion, was one of the most comic, cartoonistic movies I’ve seen. If you like Science Fantasy novels, you’ll appreciate this film. If you have no sense of imagination, you will pick apart the CGI and look like a dweeb who can’t escape reality once in a while. Take yer pick. I chose to escape. What fun!

A big hello, by the way, to all who ventured over to my silly spot on the net from my friend John’s site. Welcome to the place where I’m right ;-)
